What is this blog about?

In this week's blog, we take a look at how and why RICS APC and AssocRICS candidates and Chartered Surveyors should check out the RICS Annual Review each year.

In May 2025, RICS published their Annual Review 2024, including three key documents; the Annual Review itself, the Standards & Regulation Board Annual Report and the Remuneration Report 2024. These relate to the year ending 31 December 2024.

You can read the full reports and the RICS summaries here.

Why should you read the reports?

As a current or prospective member of MRICS, it is really important to know what is going on within your governing body. This includes current hot topics, updates on how the RICS is run and how the RICS is structured.

Reading the reports will provide you with really useful background context to the RICS, allowing you to act in the public interest and to provide a high standard of service. You can also count reading the reports as informal CPD!

What did the RICS CEO and President have to say about the Annual Review 2024?
