What is this blog about?

In this week’s blog, we look at how to submit for RICS APC final assessment in MENA.

In which country should I submit for my RICS APC final assessment?

You must submit for assessment in the country where you are primarily living and working. This is the jurisdictional framework that you will be assessed against. If you move countries during your APC, you can still include your previous experience within your submission.

However, you will then be required to know the legal frameworks for both countries. There is no minimum period that you are required to practice in a new country before you can apply to be assessed there.

When do I have to submit for my RICS APC final assessment?

To ensure your RICS APC application is successful, you must adhere strictly to the submission windows and timeframes below.

You must submit the mandatory Intent to Submit form to be eligible to submit for final assessment. There is no leeway on missing the window for submitting this. You should ensure that your email address is accurately logged on the RICS Assessment Platform and you check your spam or add any RICS email addresses to your safe sender or white list.

All submissions must be uploaded via the RICS Assessment Platform by 5:00 PM Gulf Standard Time (GST) on the final day of the window.

Thus any submissions even just 1 minute after this will be rejected outright, and you will need to wait for the next submission window.
