What is today's blog about?

This week, we will look at the recent changes to the resubmission procedure if you have been referred.

You can also listen to our CPD podcast on Anchor for more free AssocRICS and RICS APC training and support.

What happens if I have been referred?

If you were unsuccessful last session, you will be able to download your referral report from ARC within 21 days of receiving your result. You will also receive an email notification.

Make sure you download a copy of your referral report as it may subsequently become unavailable when ARC is re-opened for you to record your ongoing experience.

What has changed for Session 2 2018?

From 1 August 2018, all referred candidates will sit their next assessment on a level playing field to first time candidates.

This means that you will not have to declare that you have been referred when re-submitting for assessment. You will now effectively be a 'first time' candidate at each subsequent assessment.

How does this affect my new submission?

When you resubmit your final assessment documents, you will not need to include your referral template or referral report.

Whether you are using ARC or are an in flight candidate using the Word document templates, you will simply need to update your original submission to tackle the concerns outlined in your referral report.

Previously, you would have needed to submit a referral template in addition to your original submission.

Do I still need to update my CPD record?

Yes, you will need to do this on ARC or on your Word document template if you are an in flight candidate. This will cover the period between your referral and next APC assessment.

Do I need to have my new submission signed off by my Counsellor?

Yes.
